Costume Shop
Abracadabra is the area's ONLY year round costume shop. At our store, you can buy costumes or if you want you can rent costumes too. We are proud that many of our customers look to us to provide high quality, unique items. If we do not have an item in stock, our friendly staff will be happy to try to locate special costumes and accessories for your occasion. Please keep in mind, that what you see at our on-line store is only a very SMALL percentage of our inventory. In short, if you are looking for a specific costume or accessory, please call or e-mail. If you are from the Fox Cities, we have a large supply of costumes available for rental. Any costume rented, must be done so in person, and must be picked up and returned back to our store. (Sorry no internet rentals or shipping of rentals except in rare cases) Also, be advised that rentals on based on a 24 hour basis and each costume requires a security deposit (in the form of cash or credit card) and the security deposit is normally for the amount of the cost to replace the costume. Once the costume is returned in the same condition it left the store, and if the costume is returned on time, your security deposit will be cheerfully returned.
Many customers ask if we will apply make up for them. Be advised that the final two weekends before Halloween are always INSANE at Abracadabra. If you want to have your make-up done professionally, it is a good idea to reserve your time-slot. Secondly, make sure you're on time. If you are late, you will forefit your appointment and sacrifice your down payment. We will be happy to apply any make-up or appliance you buy at Abracadabra. We would love to be able to offer this service free, however, it takes time to apply these items, and so we feel it is only fair to charge a small fee. There is a fee for applying the make up or appliance. The fee runs from $5.00 for a small appliance which will take about 3-10 minuets to apply to $40.00 for a full face foam piece that takes about 45 minuets to do. (FYI, The professional make up artists that did the make up for Cat in the hat & Grinch and Eddie Murphies make up in Nutty Professor took 3-4 hours per day to apply the make up for those movies. WHEW!!) When you buy your piece, feel free to ask for the price of having us apply it for you.

We are located at 508 W College Ave. Appleton, WI 54911 920-830-8754 We are in downtown Appleton just blocks from where Harry Houdini grew up. To get to our store, take Hwy 41 to Appleton, and take the College Ave exit east. Follow College Ave 2.5 miles to the downtown. Once you enter the downtown, you will cross Richmond St/Hwy 47 and you will go over the railroad tracks. TWO blocks past the railroad tracks is Abracadabra. We are across from Victoria's Restaurant, and three doors from the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Our Spring/Summer M-Friday 1- 5PM & Saturdays 12-6PM CST. However, be advised that Rondini performs A LOT during the summer and it appears that the summer of 2004 will be one of his busiest ever. While we make every effort to keep our hours consistant, occasionally we must be closed or close early.
